PRACTICALLY DREAMING: A weekly, guided 60-minute creativity workshop for pursuing life's goals
Who: Artists and non-artists alike who want to develop a weekly, creative planning ritual that gently and organically helps participants move ahead
What: A structured 60-minute virtual workshop that employs Laine's favorite and most effective creative tools
When: Fridays 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. eastern time
Practically Dreaming meets (virtually) every Friday at 4:00 p.m. eastern time. We start the meeting with brief introductions and then jump right into the tools and techniques for the week!
As with the Creative Habits Lab, I hold the consistency and structure so you can more easily build your new routine. I will choose the techniques/questions for the week so that you can experience various approaches to the Practically Dreaming habit. I will make sure we start and end on time and that everyone gets a chance to introduce themselves, check-in, complete the exercises, and debrief/celebrate.
Drop in one week at a time for $30 per session or buy a 4-pack for $100
ALL sessions are VIRTUAL
F.A.Q.s
Why did you create Practically Dreaming and who is it for?
I created this workshop to share my favorite tools for closing the gap between where I am and where (and who) I want to be. I have read extensively and practiced firsthand A LOT of personal, behavioral change theories and methods. Over time, I have greatly narrowed my approach to just a few simple practices. Practically Dreaming includes the ones that remain, each intrinsically fun and satisfying while having the most impact. This workshop is the place where I can teach and share the tools I've learned, hold a forum to discuss each other's results from the practices, and provide a container for myself and others to minimize the tendency to look outside for answers.
Do I have to be an artist to join?
No! Anyone can join this workshop, no matter your connection to art. I welcome anyone who wants to implement a consistent weekly practice for reflection, integration, and prioritization.
When and where is the workshop held?
This is a virtual workshop, held from 4:00 - 5:00, eastern time on Fridays.
Is there a minimum monthly commitment?
What's the difference between The Creative Habits Lab and Practically Dreaming?
Practically Dreaming is born from the same mindful, creative spirit as "the lab", but is a directed, participatory workshop. Each week, I introduce and teach specific tools and techniques that encourage new ways to cultivate creativity and growth as you pursue life's goals and challenges. Participation is $30 per session (or $100 for four sessions).
Will I need to have my camera on and speak up in the group?
As with the Creative Habits Lab, I like to hold a consistent structure. I find it's helpful to give everyone a chance to share during both the check-ins and debrief/celebration. We generally have cameras on for these. In additional, most people leave their cameras on the entire time. All that said, nothing is required! This is just what I find most helpful. I am an introvert, so I understand if you might be a little resistant at first. I promise the structure is super gentle and I strive to create a "no pressure" zone.
How much does it cost and what payment methods do you accept?
It is $30 for one session or $100 for a four-pack. I accept PayPal (and credit cards through PayPal) and Venmo.
How do I sign up?
